The purpose of pharmacotherapy in the older age group is to maintain/ improve the functional status (physical and cognitive) of the patient while maintaining the maximum possible independence from the help of outsiders. This goal also implies the prevention of the progression of existing and the emergence of new geriatric syndromes. This study, devoted to the problem of polymorbidity and polypragmasia in geriatrics, was carried out at the Federal State Budgetary Institution "12 Consultative and Diagnostic Center" of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The medical books of outpatient patients seeking medical care at 12 consultative and diagnostic centers were studied, the appointments of various specialists were analyzed, and the correction of the therapy was carried out.
