The issue of renal artery stenting in the treatment of vasorenal hypertension in the elderly does not lose its relevance. Stenting should be resorted to only in cases of stenosis of more than 70%, associated with resistant arterial hypertension and progressive renal failure. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of renal artery stenting as a method of treatment of vasorenal hypertension due to atherosclerosis in elderly and senile patients in comparison with younger patients, as well as to answer questions related to the development of restenosis in the postoperative period. This indicates a more careful selection of elderly and senile patients for stenting of the renal arteries in order to correct arterial hypertension.
