The current stage of the development of human society is characterized by a change in the understanding of the role of the elderly in society. The value of every human life has increased immeasurably. The need to maximize the functionality of older people has become apparent. The development of social gerontology based on the doctrine of age and individual viability can become a new stage in achieving the quality of life of older people.
