Hyperactive bladder syndrome is a clinical form of pathological aging of the urogenital tract. Pathological aging of the urogenital tract is characterized by a significant increase in the expression of acetylcholine receptors in urothelial cells by 1.4 times, glutamate by 1.6 times, transforming growth factor beta-1 by 1.5 times, and a decrease in the expression levels of serotonin and dopamine receptors by 1.2 times. This allows us to conclude that the indicators of increased expression of receptors for acetylcholine, glutamate, transforming growth factor beta-1 and a decrease in the expression of receptors for serotonin and dopamine can be considered biological markers of pathological aging of the urogenital tract.
