The article describes the features of the most common damage to the thoracic aorta – the results of injury.
Timely diagnosis of traumatic aortic injury is the only chance to save the life of the victim, especially for the elderly. Despite sufficient coverage of the issue, there are no reports in the literature on the comparison of clinical signs in polytrauma and the probability of aortic injury in older patients.
