The article presents the experience of creating a regional model of gerontological prevention based on the domain principle and orientation to individual viability, which allows for a universal approach to planning, selection, system of measures and evaluation of the effectiveness of preventive gerontological measures for different categories of recipients of social services. The domain principle of building a regional model of gerontological prevention can be extended to regions with different levels of urbanization, type of settlement and cultural and ethnic affiliation of the elderly and senile population.
