A new coronavirus infection caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus (COVID - 19) poses a threat to elderly and senile patients. Today, people with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are at risk. In addition, long-term drug therapy (antibacterial drugs, systemic glucocorticoids, etc.) significantly affect the internal "ecology" of the intestine. The necessary therapy for the treatment of COVID-19 is carried out by protocols of clinical recommendations. If necessary, the use of antibacterial therapy, the intestinal microflora can be suppressed and lead to intestinal dysbiosis, thereby complicating the course of the underlying disease. There is evidence that SARS-Cov-2 (COVID - 19) is able to activate chronic infectious processes of concomitant pathology, including those associated with intestinal diseases. Given the urgency of the problem, it is important to increase the effectiveness of treatment (COVID -19) taking into account the clinical picture.
