The article presents the intermediate results of research work, which studies the influence of nutrition of the population of the Republic of Adygea on the formation of age-related vitality and longevity. The relationship of nutritional characteristics, including traditional eating habits, with the early manifestation of cardiovascular and endocrine diseases and pathology of the gastrointestinal tract are considered. 71 patients from the primary vascular and therapeutic departments of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the “Adygea Interdistrict Hospital named after K.M. Batman ", Adygeisk, are examined. 40 women (average age 59.25 years (32-83)), 31 men (average age 59.23 years (33-76)). We used the FINDRISK scale (a scale for assessing the risk of developing diabetes mellitus) and our own questionnaire of ten tests to study eating habits. The conducted research and review of foreign observations confirm the fundamental role of healthy, balanced nutrition in life expectancy and age-related viability, prevention of chronic diseases in old and senile age. The importance of educational work of medical workers of all levels among the population in the framework of promoting healthy nutrition was emphasized.
