The relevance of this topic is explained by the wide spread of polypragmasia among elderly patients. Older people are more vulnerable to the harm associated with improper prescription of medications than younger patients. Adverse drug reactions that occur in elderly patients are often undiagnosed. The elimination of potentially unsafe drugs is the basis for the correct and rational administration of drug therapy to elderly patients.
