The aging of the population is not only an important medical problem, but also a social one. The skin of the face is an organ that is often the first to reflection age-related changes in the body. A number of studies have shown that cosmetic procedures have a significant impact on emotional and social well-being, as well as the adaptation of a person in society and the quality of life. This article discusses the key cosmetology techniques and care in different age groups. The groups are divided based on the physiology of the skin and the appearance of signs of aging. The most significant skin changes are observed in the group under 30 years of age and over 55 years of age. Therefore, the most promising direction of modern dermatology and cosmetology is preventive cosmetology, aimed at correcting the involution-altered skin of the face.
