Summary:
Polymorbidity is a characteristic feature of elderly and senile patients, as well as one of the most significant problems in modern geriatrics that worsen the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various diseases. Multiple comorbidities in elderly patients are a significant risk factor for the development of osteoporosis. This study presents a clinical analysis of the concomitant pathology of elderly and senile patients. It has been shown that the presence of numerous and diverse symptoms of concomitant diseases often does not allow for rapid recognition of osteoporosis and its complications, which often complicates the diagnostic search and the correct choice of management tactics for these patients.
Keywords polymorbidity, osteoporosis, elderly people
