Summary:
The social situation nowadays apparently is not favorable for the older generation. Today young people are being at the epicenter of social transformations and rapid technological progress and at the same time are quite skeptical about the significance of the previous experience and life wisdom of older people. In the context of such generational disunity, the spread of negative opinions about the period of old age and the manifestation of ageist practices, there is an urgent need for purposeful effort to change the social status of old age and to develop a respectful attitude towards older people as a social community. One of our main tasks in to solve this problem belongs to educational work in the family and in the educational organizations.
