At the present stage, the implementation of gerontological preventive programs is becoming more and more relevant. At the same time, an important place is occupied by the leading medical and social factors. The paper scientifically substantiates the choice of conditions for which the implementation of prevention programs is required, taking into account their medical and social significance (cognitive deficit, sarcopenia, malnutrition, hypomobility, vision loss, etc.). With the existing system of organizing care, there is a significant gap between the age of people when signs of medical and social syndromes appear and the age of people when these syndromes are first registered in real medical practice, which requires improving programs for the prevention of these conditions. The purpose of the study is to study the medical and organizational aspects, to assess the existing gerontological prevention programs and their effectiveness.
