The development of targeted programs for older people aimed at increasing their adherence to drug therapy is relevant and necessary. On the basis of the conducted research, measures aimed at increasing adherence to the drug therapy in the elderly are proposed, which should be based on the impact on the leading causes of reduced adherence to therapy. These measures are presented in three groups of problems: related to the age of the patient, related to the presence of an elderly patient with a particular disease and psychological characteristics, related to socio-economic reasons. The proposed measures showed an increase in the degree of adherence to therapy in elderly patients.
