CHARACTERISTICS OF THE COMMITMENT OF ELDERLY PEOPLE IN RELATION TO GERIATRIC AND SOMATIC STATUS

Summary:
Elderly age is a factor in reducing the degree of adherence to the prescribed drug therapy, which is especially important in the context of the need for permanent, lifelong use of drug therapy, especially in somatic diseases, such as pathology of the cardiovascular system, type 2 diabetes, diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Due to the need for constant long-term use of a number of drugs, patients often do not follow the recommendations of their doctor. In order to assess the adherence to the drug therapy in older people, a study was conducted that allows us to characterize and identify the features of adherence to the drug therapy in elderly people with the main nosological forms.
