COMPLEX GERIATRIC REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS IN DENTAL IMPLANTATION CLINIC

Relevance: Currently, due to the increase in the percentage of the population over 60 years of age and due to the development of dental implantology, the number of elderly and senile patients undergoing implantological treatment has increased significantly. In dental clinics, the examination and management of such patients is carried out according to the general scheme, which is not adapted to the age characteristics ( asthenia, polymorbidity, malnourishment syndrome, cognitive disorders, etc.) of older people. Objective: To study current research and achievements in geriatric rehabilitation of patients in the clinic of dental implantology on the basis of literature data. Materials and methods: We studied the literature data on search words : geriatric rehabilitation, gerontostomatology, dental implantation in the elderly, partial and complete adentia in the elderly, gerontology, for 2010-2020 in electronic databases : PubMed,Medical-Science, DisserCat, Library, Scopus database,Web of Science, Dentalmagazine, Cyberleninka, Mediasphera. Results: knowledge has been achieved that an old age is not contraindication for dental implantation but this treatment requires complex geriatric rehabilitation according to age characteristics.
