Summary:
The article substantiates an approach to predicting the perioperative risk of cholecystectomy in elderly patients with COPD. The preoperative condition of patients was evaluated using the most common scales in the world clinical practice. It turned out that according to the ASA, AAA, and Epstein cardiopulmonary risk index scale B, there were no significant differences in the groups of patients with bronchopulmonary complications and without bronchopulmonary complications. The Arozullah scale is best suited to classify patients as at increased risk of developing aspiration pneumonia. This is due to the fact that it most takes into account both the presence of COPD and the functional status of patients and other characteristics that coincide with the identified specific risk factors for bronchopulmonary complications, while other scales reflect the most General characteristics of the patient's condition.
Keywords old age, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cholecystectomy, risk prediction
