The article analyzes the sources of Russian and foreign literature on sexuality in the elderly and senile age. Sexuality is a central aspect of human existence throughout life. Manifestations of sexuality in the process of natural aging undergo quantitative and qualitative changes, but are not limited to age. Also, manifestations of sexuality of elderly people should not be limited to any false ideas and misconceptions. Research in the field of gerontosexology clearly indicate the necessity for humans to continue to manifest their sexuality, regardless of age. The increase in the proportion of older persons and life expectancy makes the development of various forms of gerontosexology particularly urgent.
