Summary:
This article presents results of an original study of the pro-inflammatory cytokine profile in frailty with a polymorbide pathology. The results of analysis content of TNF-α in the oral fluid showed that significant differences are seen in patients older than 65 with frailty (+) in the background polymorbidity. at which level of this investigated parameter in the oral fluid is significantly higher in 1.8 and 1.6 times (p in the group of patients younger than 65 years and 1.9 times higher, than in a group of patients older than 65 with frailty (-), and is less dependent on age, where this figure is significantly higher, but only 1.2 times. Received changes in the pro-inflammatory local immune response in the oral fluid directly point to the lack of correlation between age and level of change neuroimmunoendocrine system, which allows us to conclude that in itself age is not a biological predictor of changes in the immune response and cytokines in the oral fluid.
Keywords frailty, polymorbide pathology, pro-inflammatory cytokine profile, oral fluid, elderly people.
