The article presents information about the changes of oxidative and cytokine processes in elderly patients with the development of hypoglycemic conditions in the presence of diabetes of the second type. Consider that the violation of glucose tolerance becomes more frequent with increasing age, while as a violation of tolerance to glucose and diabetes mellitus of the second type is much more common in older compared with individuals younger or middle-aged. In the article it is proved that the increase of oxidative processes and reduction of antioxidant defense mechanisms observed in the hypoglycemic state in diabetes of the second type. The article also clearly shows that the presence of the frailty syndrome does not affect antioxydative and aggravates prooxidized processes. The article proves that the most intense weakening of the anti-inflammatory and protective mechanisms for pro-inflammatory processes observed in patients with the frailty syndrome, with diabetes of the second type, accompanied by hypoglycemic episodes, is further aggravated by the inhibition of inflammatory processes, and on the second hand, the frailty syndrome has been a factor in aggravating oxidative processes and decreased of antioxidant defenses.
